A Spring Festival fair was launched in Xiqing district, Tianjin, on Jan 24. The event showcased traditional items, offering residents a culturally rich experience filled with festival cheer.
The fair kicked off at 10 am, presenting a vibrant cultural feast. At the Yangliuqing New Year woodblock painting booth, lively paintings attracted much attention.
Other items like Yangliuqing paper-cutting and kite-making also drew crowds for photos and hands-on experiences, deepening the festive spirit.
A stirring stilt performance energized the venue at 2 pm. Performers in bright costumes acted out folk stories with skilled movements, earning enthusiastic applause. Attendees noted that such dynamic displays made them feel more connected to traditional folk culture.
The fair continued on the second day with another lively stilt performance by a different local troupe, maintaining the festive atmosphere through interactive heritage displays.
The event reflects Xiqing's ongoing efforts to promote traditional culture and integrate it into modern cultural tourism experiences.
