With support from the sports departments of Tianjin city and Xiqing district, the 1,200-meter fitness trail at Zhangjiawo town's central park has been upgraded and reopened to the public.
The renovated trail addresses the aging infrastructure issues of the previous facilities and provides a better environment, creating a more convenient and comfortable outdoor fitness space for residents.
The fitness trail, which was opened in 2017, has become an essential spot for daily exercise and walks for local residents. Over the years, some sections of the trail's surface were deteriorating, affecting its overall appeal and reducing safety and comfort for those using it. Responding to the public's demand for an upgrade, the local government initiated the renovation project with expert guidance and support from municipal and district sports departments.
The renovation focused on enhancing both the functionality and safety of the trail. A total area of more than 1,500 square meters was upgraded. During construction, the old surface was completely removed and replaced with new, durable and environmentally friendly materials, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for fitness enthusiasts.
Looking ahead, Zhangjiawo town will continue to focus on addressing residents' urgent concerns and with the support of local authorities. It will further improve the layout of public sports facilities.
