The "Cultural Soiree of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2025" event of the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum, or Summer Davos, kicked off brilliantly at the Tianjin's National Convention Center on June 25. Tianjin Huoyuanjia School was invited to perform on-site a program of wushu arts.
The school's performance was titled Jin Guan Qing Tian and integrated Huo Yuanjia's "Jingwu Spirit" with the cultural characteristics of Tianjin. Every move and technique of the performers displayed the power and beauty of wushu, as well as their use of these arts as a means of giving global guests a glimpse of the profound heritage and contemporary vitality of Chinese traditional culture.
Tianjin Huoyuanjia School has been invited to participate in the Summer Davos cultural performances for many years, and has become a "cultural ambassador" that shows the essence of Chinese wushu to the world.
The school has always been committed to innovatively inheriting the wushu culture, integrating Huo Yuanjia's competitive wushu technique with modern stage technology. The performers of the school have performed on various stages, such as CCTV, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the World Horticultural Exposition, and provincial and municipal Spring Festival galas. They have also accompanied government leaders on visits to nearly 100 countries and regions to participate in international cultural exchange activities.
During this Davos trip, the school once again used wushu to bring Eastern philosophical thoughts into global dialogues through cultural expressions that transcend language barriers.
