Perennial General Hospital, in Xiqing district, Tianjin
The first wholly foreign-owned tertiary general hospital in the country, Perennial General Hospital, opened on Feb 26 in Tianjin's Xiqing district.
Perennial General Hospital, financed and constructed by Singapore's Perennial Holdings Private Limited, is located in the district's town of Zhangjiawo.
It is a 500-bed, tertiary comprehensive hospital with a team of high-level medical experts from abroad and is setting up specialty departments in fields such as orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, nephrology and immunology, cardiovascular and oncology.
The hospital has an international department focused on providing customized medical services and covering the entire lifecycle that includes health maintenance, chronic disease management and major illness recovery.
Perennial General Hospital's director, Liu Dan, said that it is equipped with advanced facilities and gathers top experts from both domestic and international backgrounds. For foreign nationals, the hospital has a multilingual service team that accompanies them throughout the entire treatment process. It also supports international commercial insurance payments and offers a variety of dining and accommodation options, aiming to provide patients with a high-quality, international medical care in all aspects.
Perennial International Health and Business Travel City, located near the Tianjinnan Railway Station, is the first large-scale high-speed rail transit-oriented development (TOD) project in China that integrates elderly care, medical services and hotels. It aims to provide convenient and efficient medical and health services as well as high-quality eldercare services for residents in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and visitors from other areas in North China. The opening of Perennial General Hospital marks the official integration of eldercare, rehabilitation and medical services in the Xiqing district of Tianjin.
During the opening ceremony, Perennial Holdings Private Limited also signed strategic cooperation agreements with SingHealth and the affiliated hospital of Tianjin Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, further enhancing collaboration in the healthcare sector.
