Xiqing Economic Development Zone in Tianjin municipality
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently listed the energy and mineral equipment industrial cluster in Tianjin's Xiqing district in the national characteristic industry clusters for the year 2024.
It was the only industrial cluster in Tianjin to be included on the list.
A total of 100 industry clusters stood out and were recognized as national-level characteristic industry clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises for the year of 2024. The energy and mineral equipment industry cluster in Xiqing Economic Development Zone made the cut due to its outstanding performance in industry scale, innovation capabilities and brand influence.
This cluster is centered around a group of leading private enterprises, such as Tianjin Huaning, Baicheng Oilfield and Aury Industry Technology, with representation from well-known multinational companies like Schlumberger from the United States, Eickoff from Germany, and Rulmeca from Italy.
The products cover three main areas: coal and oil mining equipment, mining hydraulic transmission and control systems, and electrical automation control devices, forming a complete industrial chain and a strong industrial ecosystem.
In recent years, the cluster has seen average annual output value growth of nearly 15 percent, making it an important engine driving the development of Xiqing Economic Development Zone and even Xiqing district, accelerating the realization of high-quality industrial development and fostering new productive forces.
Xiqing will continue to prioritize high-quality development, with the energy and mineral equipment industry cluster as the core, driving industrial transformation, upgrading and green development.
