On the first day of the Chinese New Year holiday, the 28th Yangliuqing Lantern Festival kicked off, creating a magnificent light feast for tourists and locals and becoming a highlight of cultural and tourism activities during the holidays in Tianjin.
Inspired by the woodblock New Year prints of Yangliuqing, this lantern festival integrated elements of Xiqing folk customs, historical allusions, myths and legends. It vividly showcased the distinctive Xiqing cultural features, such as New Year print dolls, martial spirit, Yangliuqing paper-cutting and kites. With over 40 sets of lantern displays collectively lit up, it offered visitors a unique sensory experience.

To create a New Year painting above Yuhe Bridge, 350 drones continuously changed formations, presenting a dazzling display in which traditional culture and modern technology interacted, earning cheers from the audience.

In addition to Yangliuqing the village of Daliutan's "Green Wonderland" Ice and Snow Festival introduced over 20 unique tourist attractions such as snowmaking machines and snowmobiles, allowing visitors to experience the romance and wonder of the ice and snow world.
