The 2024 China Cultural and Tourism Industries Exposition (CTIE) will be held in Tianjin from Sept 13 to 16 and the city's Xiqing district will be showcased at the event with its 204-square-meters exhibition booth.
The district's 2024 CTIE exhibition area, on the theme "Canal Pearl, Nourishing Xiqing", will be divided into five main sections, including the canal culture check-in, intangible cultural heritage display, time-honored brand products sales, stage performances, and waterway rest zone. The goal is to comprehensively showcase the cultural and tourism industry development of Xiqing district through immersive experiences, exhibitions, sales, exchanges and interactive activities.

In the intangible cultural heritage display section, guests can participate in on-site activities such as Yangliuqing New Year woodblock printing, delicate silk floss craft and velvet flower making under the guidance of intangible cultural heritage inheritors. Traditional delicacies such as Diaoji pastries and Zhimeizhai dishes will also be provided to the visitors.
More than 70 categories of cultural and tourism merchandise and specialty products from Xiqing district will be available at the event site.
Special cultural and art performances, such as traditional Chinese storytelling and wushu arts, will be presented and featured online, enabling people to virtually visit the Xiqing booth, experiencing the profound cultural heritage, abundant resources and hospitable nature of the district.
Through the 2024 CTIE platform, Xiqing is expected to invite 500 travel companies from across the country to seek more business opportunities and jointly promote the local development of the cultural and tourism industry.
