Fifty-seven new postdoctoral research workstations in Tianjin have recently been recognized. Four of them, based in Xiqing district, including Carbon Technology, Smarter Eye (Tianjin), China Otsuka Pharmaceutical, and Huashen (Tianjin) New Energy Technology, are a stong indication that more scientific research talents and innovative forces will gather in the region.
Carbon Technology is a national-level specialized and new "little giant" enterprise and a national high-tech enterprise. The company has a Tianjin enterprise technology center and a Tianjin green factory. Its main business includes research and development, production and technical services in the areas of structural reinforcement, road and bridge maintenance, industrialization of buildings and bridges, and architectural coatings. It currently holds 197 valid patents, 21 of them related to inventions.
Smarter Eye (Tianjin) has put forward various intelligent driving solutions that provide vehicle-mounted 3D environmental perception based on internationally leading binocular vision algorithms. It has applied for 251 patents, and 142 have already been authorized. It is the first company in China to commercialize and implement stereoscopic vision perception technology.
China Otsuka Pharmaceutical is the first group of enterprises in China to pass the national GMP certification. Its products are distributed across 31 provinces, municipalities and regions in China, and are exported to Indonesia and Thailand.
Huashen (Tianjin) New Energy Technology is a technology-based enterprise that focuses on green, safe, high-performance aqueous secondary batteries. It integrates research and development, production, sales and consulting. The company has undertaken over 50 national key projects and has been granted 25 invention patents.
