On Feb 28, to implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and adhere to the key national strategy of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Xiqing district held an investment promotion conference in Beijing, with 120 enterprises in key industrial fields, such as integrated circuits, the Internet of Vehicles, biomedicine, and cultural tourism, and alumni representatives from universities in Beijing and Tianjin in participation.
Yuan Xinhe, secretary of Party leadership group and director of the Beijing Office of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, and Zhu Caibin, secretary of the CPC Xiqing Committee, attended the conference and delivered speeches.

Yuan highlighted that Xiqing district has a solid economic foundation, sound industrial structure and an attractive business environment. Over the years, based on region well invested environment, resources and advantageous industries, Xiqing has gradually become the hub of State-owned and other well-known enterprises. The Beijing office will provide strong guarantees in the aspects of projects, financing, techniques, talents and information.
Zhu highlighted that with a number of national platforms, Xiqing has rich and comprehensive science and education resources. It is making efforts to build the Xiqing section of Tiankai Higher Education Science Park and accelerating the construction of the Tianjinnan Railway Station Science and Technology Business Zone. As the micro-center of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Xiqing district is developing rapidly and welcomes entrepreneurs in Beijing to settle in the area.

During the conference, 25 projects were involved in the signing ceremony, with a planned investment of 5.81 billion yuan (about $841 million), covering such key industries as the Internet of Vehicles, integrated circuits and biomedicine.
Over the years, under the leadership of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, Xiqing district has gradually grown into a habitable and business-friendly area with industrial strength, concentrated resources, complete living facilities and an excellent business environment. Next, Xiqing will continue to promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and inject new impetus into local high-quality development with preferential policies and industrial supporting facilities.
