Over these years, Fangzhuangzi village has explored a new industrial development path and promoted the industrial integration of rice and crabs, growing from a poor village to the one with assets of over seven million yuan (about $1 million).
In 2020, Fangzhuangzi village started the renovation work of 1,000 mu of land. After investigation, the local government decided to plant the rice variety of "Tianlongyou", which has helped farmers achieve a bumper harvest, realizing the transformation of waste lands to farmlands.
This year, the village has explored the mode of "village + company + cooperative", introduced modern agricultural equipment, such as an automatic grain dryer, an automatic peeling machine and a vacuum packer, so as to further process and package rice. It has registered an ecological rice brand and formed an industrial chain of production, processing and sales, with an annual output value of 2 million yuan.

In addition to planting rice, the village has also bred crabs, which has further contributed to the rise in income of farmers. At present, Fangzhuangzi village is gradually transforming into an ecological tourism agriculture industry. Two-hundred fruit trees have been planted around the existing crab fishing leisure area, and during the National Day holiday, more than 10,000 visitors traveled to the village, increasing the income of the village by more than 200,000 yuan. Furthermore, the village has applied live-streaming methods to introduce its traveling resources, greatly expanding the popularity and influence of the village. The comprehensive rural traveling experience it provides has been attracting an increasing number of people, and the village has become one of the most popular destinations in the region.
In the future, Fangzhuangzi village will continue to explore agricultural development methods, contribute to rural vitalization and increase the income of local people.
