More than 100 years ago, the people of Yangliuqing in Tianjin set out from the side of the Grand Canal, carrying goods and traveling with the army. After a long journey, they arrived at the foot of Tianshan Mountain over 8,000 miles away, creating a business miracle in the modern history of China, "Gandaying".

The Porcelain Art Park Museum has used an ancient porcelain inlaying technique to create themed porcelain murals and three-dimensional sculptures, reproducing scenes of Yangliuqing businessmen migrating with the army. The characters in the art works are vivid and unique.

The ancient porcelain inlaying technique was born in Xiqing district, Tianjin. With its enriched local culture, it was listed as part of the fifth batch of intangible cultural heritage projects in Xiqing district, Tianjin, in 2022. In addition, The Porcelain Art Park Museum and the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts have carried out an integrated cooperation, and created the first immersive interactive experience exhibition "Gandaying" , which is expected to open to the public in June 2023.

Nearly 1 billion pieces of ancient porcelain from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Song Dynasty (960-1279), Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), and five famous kilns were selected, with an overall evaluation value of 9.8 billion yuan (about $1.4 billion). The construction of a 3A Scenic Area is also progressing steadily.
