Organised by the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Company (SSTEC), the Eco-City's master developer, the summit announced key strategic partnerships and programs to further enhance the business environment of the Eco-City and enable Singapore and international enterprises to participate in the future growth of the Eco-City in smart and sustainable development.
It discussed the latest developments in the digital economy and smart city development, and highlighted the Eco-City’s business opportunities in smart technology across several industries.
More than 300 representatives from leading and start-up enterprises, government and business associations, experts and scholars from educational and scientific research institutions and other guests from Singapore and China specialized in smart and sustainable development attended the summit.

Mr Teo Eng Cheong, CEO of the SSTEC, said in response to China's call to build new models of smart cities and with the support from Chinese and Singapore governments and other partners, that this summit aims to build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between Singapore and China in smart city, sustainable industry and the digital economy.
The SSTEC has been working closely with the Singaporean and Chinese governments and other partners over the years, to jointly plan and develop the Eco-City, improve the Eco-City’s business environment, and continuously facilitate bilateral exchanges and cooperation in economy and trade, technology, culture and other fields.
It has launched business projects that will enable Singapore and other international companies quick access to the markets of Eco-City, Tianjin and North China. It will also provide these companies with support in market assessment, market entry and market expansion.
