Over the years, Xiqing's government has been promoting afforestation management so as to build a more habitable and beautiful environment for the local people. Up to now, the management has already achieved outstanding results.
Since the 2017 National Games, the Xiqing Urban Management Committee has made great efforts to improve the greening of important roads and nodes in the region. It has already completed the greening and reconstruction projects of Yangliuqing town, Xiqing road, the environment improvement project of Jinzi road, Saida avenue, Zeyang road, and Tianjin-Hong Kong road, in a bid to achieve greening and beautification.
Additionally, Xiqing has promoted the construction of parks. In order to further optimize the layout of parks and other green spaces in the area, the Xiqing Urban Management Committee has implemented park renovation projects, so as to provide better leisure places for residents. Street corners have simultaneously been utilized to expand green areas in the district.
Besides establishing new green spaces, the government has also worked on the maintenance of existing ones. As the plants have high conservation demands, and conservation work is characterized by continuity and seasonality, Xiqing has strengthened work in watering, fertilizing, shaping, pest control, and green space sanitation. After years of management, the landscape of Xiqing has already undergone extensive beautification.

From the street corner to the main road of the district, the unique green spaces illustrate the hard work of landscape architects. In the future, Xiqing will continue to stick to the principal of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", and create a better living environment for local people.
