Tianjinnan Railway Station will start its expansion next year, according to Yin Shanhu, deputy director of the Xiqing regional and industrial coordination office.
After the approval of the railway hub construction in the core area of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, in addition to having the existing Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Tianjinnan Railway Station plans to introduce Tianjin-Xiongan and Tianjin-Cangzhou intercity railways. Upon opening to traffic, the annual passenger flow is expected to increase to more than 11 million, which will make the station an important part of the overall traffic planning for the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. The Science and Technology Business Zone of Tianjinnan Railway Station has entered the stage of substantial construction.
Taking Tianjinnan Railway Station as the core area, Xiqing has developed its science and technology industry, accelerated the construction of enterprises’ headquarters, public services and other industries in the surrounding area, so as to attract enterprises to settle and enable residents to enjoy a better life.
