On Sept 14, Jiaxianli community in Zhangjiawo town, Xiqing district, was placed on the 2022 national demonstration of elder-friendly communities list released by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China and China National Committee on Ageing.

Jiaxianli community in Zhangjiawo town was established in 2013, with an area of 430,000 square meters, 4,332 households and 9,416 residents. To improve elderly care services in the community and meet the needs of the people, the "Jiaxianli Community Day Care Center" was built in 2013, with an area of 382 square meters. Service areas, such as a "school for the elderly", a "day care room", a "sports and recreation center" and a "fitness and rehabilitation room" have been set up.
The community has given priority to the construction of the living environment. In addition to creating a clean community environment, they have also strengthened the construction of accessible public facilities, including setting rest seats in the main activity areas for the elderly, so as to make it convenient for people to go outside from their homes.
Furthermore, the health center of the town provides on-site medical services for the elderly through family doctors, and carries out health lectures to impart medical knowledge. For elderly families with special difficulties, the community visits them regularly to provide psychological counseling services.
The community makes use of "internet + elderly care" services and the Xiqing elderly management system to access supply and demand information for elderly services.
