The opening ceremony of the 5th farmers' harvest festival was recently held in Xinkou town, Xiqing district, Tianjin.

The harvest festival is usually celebrated for one month, providing a variety of leisure entertainment for the local people. Various activities have been planned, including fishing, picking vegetable, and rice harvesting. These activities allow people to relax and forget the stress and pressures of city life.
After the opening ceremony, the families participating in the activities followed the staff to the Nanniwan agricultural research base in Xinkou town, Xiqing district to carry out agricultural research. Teachers well versed in agriculture explained the use of tools to the families. The children formed their own teams and participated in various competitions. The activities resulted in a joyous harvest celebration.
